The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating several burglaries involving vehicles this week.

Theft of Vehicle Parts

On Monday, Aug. 15, at 7:45 a.m., officers responded to an address on Mattingly Street in reference to the theft of vehicle parts. The victim stated someone cut the catalytic converter off a 1996 Jeep Cherokee.

Auto Burglary

On Monday, Aug. 15, at 2:47 p.m., officers took a report in reference to an auto burglary that occurred in the 600 block of Adams Street. According to the victim, someone entered a 2017 Kia Forte and stole a Taurus .40 caliber handgun.

Auto Burglary

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 7:20 a.m., officers responded to an address in the 3100 block of
Washington Street in reference to an auto burglary. The victim stated someone entered a 2006 Jeep Commander and removed $60.00 in cash. The owner was not sure whether or not the vehicle was locked.

Auto Burglary

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 2:26 p.m., officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington Street, in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The victim reported someone entered a 2017 Ford F150 and stole the vehicle keys, a set of house keys, and a handgun of unknown make and model.

Theft of Vehicle Parts

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, at 7:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to an address on Willow Drive in reference to a theft from a vehicle. The complainant reported someone cut the catalytic converter off a Buick Century.
