Vicksburg police investigating three recent thefts

The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating three new cases of theft that took place mid-late last week.

Auto Burglary

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 7:57 a.m., officers responded to Warfield’s Service Center, 2610 1/2 Clay Street, in reference to an auto burglary. The complainant reported the front passenger window of a 2010 Dodge Caravan was shattered and the battery was missing from the vehicle. The damage to the window is estimated at $200.00 dollars, and the cost of the stolen battery is $204.95.

Auto Burglary

On Friday, Aug. 12, at 7:05 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington Street, in reference to an auto burglary. The victim stated someone broke into his Dodge Ram 1500 and stole a SIG P365 handgun with a holster. The value of the missing items is $790.00.

Auto Theft

On Friday, Aug. 12, at 7:13 p.m., officers responded to Hobby Lobby, 3505 Pemberton Square Boulevard for a stolen vehicle. According to the victim, someone stole his 2018 Ford F150 near the front entrance of Hobby Lobby. The vehicle was locked with the keys inside.
