Vicksburg Police respond to grand larceny, auto theft and more

The Vicksburg Police Department reported the following crimes for Nov. 22 through Nov. 24.
Grand Larceny:
Vicksburg Police officers responded to a grand larceny call at Motel 6, 4137 Interstate 20 Frontage Road. Officers were informed that 18 fishing rods, a H2O Xpress, two Millenium rod holders, a Buddy propane heater, two kids fishing rods and a tackle box were stolen from a 2017 Cairo boat.
The items together were valued at $3,050.
Auto theft:
Officers responded to two auto theft calls.
On Nov. 23 at 10:05 a.m., 2012 Dodge Ram with the license plate number of 1AH2910 was reported stolen from the Super 8 Motel, 4127 I-20 Frontage Road.
On Nov. 24 at 5:54 p.m. a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 was stolen in the 40th block of Warrenton Road.
Counterfeit Cash:
On Nov. 24 at 4:23 p.m., a counterfeit $100 dollar bill was passed at Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington St.
Shots fired:
Vicksburg Police responded to two reports of shots fired. In both cases officers discovered no damage, shell casings or evidence of a shooting.
On Nov. 22 at 10:39 p.m. a report was called in of shots fired in the 200 block of Redbone Road.
On Nov. 23 10:57 p.m. shots fired were reported at the New Maine Apartments, 2727 Alcorn Drive.
