Vicksburg police respond to several burglary calls over the weekend

Several burglaries were reported over the weekend to the Vicksburg Police Department.

On Saturday at 7:25 p.m., Vicksburg police officers responded to an address in the 100 block of Meadowvale Drive in reference to a residential burglary.

The victim reported that someone gained entry into the home by breaking a window and stole clothing items, a Sony PlayStation 4, and two Sony PlayStation controllers. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $460.00.

At 8:56 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Sprouts Spring Road in reference to a theft.

The victim stated to officers that a male had broken into his home and stole a Playstation 5.

On Sunday, at 9:50 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Monroe Street in reference to a commercial burglary.

Reports state someone had broken into the building and stole a Dewalt brand miter saw, air compressor and nail gun. Other items reported stolen were three drills, light fixtures and electrical wire.

At 5:23 p.m. on Sunday, offivers responded to the 1100 block of Washinton Street in reference to an auto burglary.

The victim stated someone stole a Samsung S20 cell phone from her vehicle valued at $1100.
