Vicksburg Police respond to two shooting incidents within city overnight
Vicksburg police were alerted to two shooting incidents which took place within the city overnight.
Vicksburg Police Department responded to the 100 block of Drusilla Lane in reference to a disturbance.
A neighbor supplied authorities with information and video footage which led to the arrest of 24-year-old Antonius Jenkins.
Jenkins was charged with discharging a firearm within the city limits. Police recovered the weapon used.
A second shooting incident took place in the 400 block of Mission 66.
Police responded to an apartment complex to find a 67-year-old female, Patricia Martin, shot in the left leg.
The suspected shooter, Henry Hill, was reportedly putting his weapon away when it discharged. The bullet was reported to have traveled through the wall and struck Martin in the leg.
She was taken to Merit Health River Region for treatment. Her injuries were non-life threatening.
