Vicksburg police responded to two burglaries last weekend

The Vicksburg Police Department reports that two unrelated burglaries occurred Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26.

Waterview Casino Hotel was the sight of a burglary Friday. At 12:41 p.m., officers responded to the hotel at 3990 Washington St. where the victim reported that a male subject took $1,300 and several miscellaneous items from her hotel room.

Saturday at 5:56 p.m., officers responded to an address in the 1900 block of Sky Farm Avenue where the complainant stated that someone broke into her deceased mother’s home, stealing two televisions valued at $232.
