Vicksburg Police responds to several auto crimes, one involving a gun


Several crimes have been committed this week involving automobiles.
On Friday, March 12, Vicksburg Police responded to a call at 10:34 a.m. which led them to Patriot Motorsports. An employee reported the theft of a white 1998 Dodge Ram 2500. The truck was stolen from the lot the day prior and recovered later that day in Jackson.
A Smith & Wesson pistol was stolen from a console of an F-150 on Friday as well. At 11:33 a.m. officers took a report on the incident. The theft is thought to have occurred the day before while the truck was parked on Levee Street.
On Saturday, March 13, a vehicle was reported stolen from the Riverwalk Casino parking lot. Officers responded at 8:26 a.m. where the complaint stated someone stole a 2019 Nissan Sentra from the lot.
