Residents of Vicksburg and Warren County were treated to a quick visit from Jack Frost this afternoon and experienced the first snowfall of the season.

Around 2 p.m., parts of the community started to experience snow and icy conditions. The freezing rain quickly went away.

The National Weather Service is still calling for a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 7 p.m. this evening. The overnight low is expected to hit around 25º.

No part of Warren County is known to be experiencing any buildup of ice or snow at the moment. The temperature as of 3:15 p.m. is 34º within the city with overcast skies.

Yesterday’s high was 85º.
