Vicksburg teen arraigned for Court Street shooting; charged with capital murder, robbery

A Vicksburg teen was arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court this afternoon in front of Judge Angela Carpenter.
Larry Bell Jr., 18, was charged with capital murder in the July 30 killing of 20-year-old Brendyn Carman after an exchange of gunfire.
Carman’s blue Nissan Maxima wrecked near First North and Clay just after 1:30 a.m. Moments later, police were dispatched to Court Street where they found Bell suffering from gunshot wounds to both legs.
Bell is alleged to have attempted an armed robbery on Court Street, during which he shot and consequently caused the death of Carmen.
