Vicksburg-Warren School District announces two principal assignments

The Vicksburg-Warren School District announced the assignments of two principals last week for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year.

Lakesha Batty will become the new Vicksburg Intermediate School principal. She is the former assistant principal of Warren Central Intermediate, and she replaces longtime VIS principal Sharon Williams who recently retired.

Warren Central Junior High will now be under the leadership of Dr. Fredrick LeFlore for the upcoming year. He previously served as Williams-Sullivan Middle School Principal in the Holmes County School District.

The two principals are well qualified and will have the difficult task of getting teachers and students through the COVID-19 pandemic this upcoming school year. With their experience they have already shown they are fit to lead.
