Vicksburg Warren School District begins distance learning Tuesday

Beginning Tuesday, March 24, the Vicksburg Warren School District will implement “Distance Learning” in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

School Board trustees and Superintendent Chad Sheely met online Thursday afternoon to discuss the implementation of the program.

Beginning Friday and continuing Monday, the school district will issue Chromebooks to students who do not have one. Teachers have been working to check and clean the small computers in preparation for the rollout. and they will be issued through the car rider line at respective schools.

The district will continue to use school buses to deliver meals to students on the current schedules.
