Vicksburg will layoff city employees in the face of $2.8 million in revenue losses without aid

Vicksburg is on target to lose $2.8 million in revenue due to COVID-19 restrictions on businesses.
“It looks like we may have to go to 20% in reductions in salaries” cuts and furloughs for city employees, Flaggs said.
The cuts would be effective June 30, and the decision will be made no later than June 15.
“It will affect everybody’s salary,” including his own, Flaggs said, unless lawmakers provide relief.
