Vicksburg woman lures child under 16 into sexual attack
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reported to the Vicksburg Daily News that an 18-year-old Vicksburg woman has been charged with sexual battery before the fact.
18-year-old Shell Haggan of Vicksburg assisted accused sexual battery suspect, Marshall Smith, 81, in the sexual battery of a child under 16.
The investigation shows that Haggan made social media contact with the child and lured the child into a friendship.
Sometime after that friendship was established, Haggan made arrangements to pick up the child. Haggan then transported the child under 16 to Marshall Smith who then, allegedly, committed sexual battery on the child.
Haggan is being charged with accessory before the fact to sexual battery of a child under 16.
Haggan appeared in Justice Court Friday afternoon and was given a $150,000 bond.
Sheriff Pace congratulated Sergeant Stacy Rollison, Detective Todd Dykes and Detective Zac Primeaux for their work on this case and noted the investigation will continue.
