Vicksburg’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen vote to help supply water to Jackson
Vicksburg’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted in Wednesday’s Special Call Board Meeting to provide the City of Jackson with fifteen pallets of bottled water starting Friday, Sep. 2, to aid during the Jackson water crisis. In addition, the Board is offering to provide two million gallons of water per day, coming from Vicksburg’s Water Treatment Plant, to the city until the Jackson water system is restored.
The Board states that their prayers are with the City of Jackson. Mayor Flaggs recognized in the Special Call Session that “We are all in this together; let’s work to get the Capitol City of our great State back to where it needs to be.”
