Vicksburg’s Pet of the Week: A chance to show off your favorite companion

Vicksburg is full of adorable animal companions that deserve the spotlight and we want to make that happen.

Our pets spark a joy that makes life more complete and are often viewed as part of the family. If you meet someone who has pets, there’s a strong chance they’ll happily pull out pictures of their special animal companion. If you take a walk downtown in Vicksburg you are sure to see someone spending quality time walking their best friend. Whether you prefer to raise reptiles, ride horses, or snuggle up to a soft kitten at the end of the day, your pet is indeed special.

We want to give your favorite pet a chance to be featured and get them the adoration they deserve.

Please send in your favorite picture of your furry (or scaly) friend with a description of why you love them so much. We will choose one pet each week to highlight and feature them on the Vicksburg Daily News page. Don’t forget to include your pet’s name, your name and contact information so we may contact you when your pet is chosen.
