Victim identified in fatal crash

The victim in a deadly crash that happened on North Washington Street on early Saturday morning has now been identified.

44-year-old Ernessa Jackson has been identified as the victim after her vehicle left the the roadway and went into a ditch around 12:50 a.m.

North Washington Street was blocked to traffic while first responders, including Rescue and FireMedic 40 along with Engine 6 worked to extract the driver from the vehicle. Traffic 1, Bobby Jones was at the accident scene for the city.

Jackson’s family has been notified at this time.
