VIDEO – Santa gets a firefighter escort through Warren County neighborhoods

Published

on

Santa and Mrs. Claus are receiving a very special escort through Warren County this weekend.

For the 44th year in a row, county firefighters are putting Santa and his wife on a truck and escorting them through the neighborhoods with lights flashing and sirens wailing.

Saturday, firefighters from the Culkin station escorted Santa through the Openwood Plantation subdivision and other nearby neighborhoods with the Bovina, Northeast and Fisher Ferry stations giving them support.

Starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Fisher Ferry firefighters will be in neighborhoods in the southern parts of the county, including Oak Park, Lake Park, Camelot and surrounding areas, with the other stations supporting them.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Santa won’t be able to greet children personally this year. Hopefully that tradition will return next year.
