VIDEO – Stolen vehicle recovered in Warren County

At around 5 p.m. Monday, Vicksburg Warren 911 received a report that a 2008 Hummer similar to one reported stolen Saturday in Warren County was at a business on Highway 61 North.

Units from multiple agencies responded to the area.

The vehicle fled from officers traveling east on Interstate 20. Near Flowers, the vehicle left the interstate and crashed through a fence to elude officers.

The Hummer was recovered later Monday on Gowall Road and processed for evidence.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from Interstate 20 Saturday. At the time of the report, the Hummer was white, but it had been painted black since the theft. The vehicle was still bearing the owner’s license plate when it was recovered.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a person of interest connected to the theft.
