Warren Central High School fell short in its spring game, suffering a close 17-16 defeat to Grenada on Thursday.

Nash Morgan, the upcoming freshman quarterback, took the snaps and threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Jaylin Winters. Ronnie Blossom also scored a two-yard touchdown run with the assistance of lead blockers Beau Davis, Spencer Smith, and CJ King, all of whom played aggressively on the offensive line.

On the defensive side, TK Qualls, Blossom, and LJ Reynolds had excellent performances, while linebackers Gavin Davenport and Julien Demby made multiple plays. Kicker Jonah Artman made both of his extra point attempts.

The Vikings will commence their season on August 25 against Clinton High School at the Red Carpet Bowl.
