Warren Central High School football team came home with a 7-6 victory over Laurel in a scrimmage on Friday.

Both defenses definitely showed up to play in the low scoring game where the Vikings came out on top.

Roy Qualls and Rubin Banks both had two sacks each for WC, along with back to back sacks to end the game in the final few seconds of the game.

Following behind the aggressive offensive line, TJ Thompson and Darius Carter both controlled the run-game for the Vikings.

Trey Hall came up with two touchdowns for WC but one was eventually called back on a penalty. His 25-yard touchdown run is what put the Vikings on the board as Brandon Gilliam sealed the extra point.

The Vikings had a great experience playing at the University of Southern Mississippi and got a good look at what’s to come for their upcoming season.

WC will begin their season on August 20, 2021 under the leadership of Josh Morgan.
