VPD announce additional charges for Jackson burglary suspect

A suspect recently arrested and charged with two commercial burglaries now faces a third charge relating to another business burglary, announced the Vicksburg Police Department.

Tony Terrell, 52, of Jackson, Mississippi, was arrested Friday, Dec. 9, by Vicksburg Police Department Criminal Investigations Division detectives for two commercial burglaries, along with Brandy Reed, 30, also of Jackson.

The first burglary occurred at Southern Wine and Spirits, 1302 Mission 66, on Nov. 30, and the second at Mission Mart, 1020 Mission 66, on Dec. 5.

Judge Penny Lawson set Terrell’s bond at $130,000 for the two charges.

On Friday, Dec. 16, Vicksburg Police Department announced that Terrell appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Wednesday, Dec. 13 facing charges related to a third business burglary. He is accused of breaking into The Liquor Store, 4110 Clay Street, on September 24, 2022.

He was arraigned on an additional charge of commercial burglary for which Judge Angela Carpenter set his bond at $25,000. Terrell was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after a handgun was found when officers served a search warrant at his residence. Terrell received a $30,000 bond on the firearms charge and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
