VPD arrests man on narcotics charges, report residential burglary

As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, investigators of the Vicksburg Police Department NET/Narcotics Division arrested a man Tuesday on felony drug charges.

Investigators executed a search warrant at 205 Winters Lane June 2, where the officers discovered approximately 13.5 grams of crack cocaine and digital scales. They also seized $1,167.

Errick Smith, 47, was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

The department also reported a residential burglary that occurred Monday, June 1.

At 4:28 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Letitia Street where the complainant stated someone broke into his neighbor’s home, stealing an unknown model television and a cutting torch.
