VPD arrests two suspects for armed robbery

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested two individuals for armed robbery Wednesday.

Monday, July 20, a resident of Cossar Court reported he had been robbed by a masked Black male, who threatened him with a knife before stealing his wallet and a credit card.

Wednesday morning, police arrested two suspects, and both appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court the same day.

Peter Haggard, 50, and Tiffany Smith, 42, both of Vicksburg, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery and one count of armed robbery.

Lawson levied a $30,000 bond on both suspects, and she bound them over to the Warren County grand jury.
