VPD arrests woman after she steals a car from the station parking lot

Vicksburg Police officers arrested Angel Brooke Carraway, 37, moments after she stole a 2006 Lexus from the front parking lot of the police station shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday. They made the arrest at an address on Austin Lee Drive.

Carraway made her initial appearance before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court Thursday, where she was charged with one count of auto theft and bound over to the Warren County grand jury on a $20,000 bond.

The Vicksburg Police Department also reported an incident of grand larceny that occurred Wednesday, June 3.

At 1:33 p.m., a complainant came to the police department to report a theft that occurred in the 5900 block of North Washington Street. The victim stated someone stole a 2012 hydraulic tilt bed trailer from a storage area.
