VPD Crime Report – June 9, 2011

The following crimes were reported on June 8, 2011 5 pm – Vicksburg Police Department officers responded to a report of a residential burglary at 1200 Mission 66.  The complainant reported that a Envision brand 32 inch flat screen television, valued at $300, was missing from the home.  A witness reported seeing a man, identified as Ricky Powell, placing a large object wrapped in a rug into his car.

6 pm – Vicksburg Police Department officers arrested 32 year old Ricky Powell of 1200 Mission 66, Apartment 202, for burglary.  Powell, who was apprehended at the corner of Washington & Speed Streets, was found in possession of the television that had been reported stolen from another apartment in the same complex where he resides.  Powell’s bond has been set at $25,000.

9:18 pm – Vicksburg Police Department officials responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 1200 block of Finney Street.  The complainant reported two 32 inch flat-screen televisions, one Panasonic and one Sanyo, were missing from the home.  Each television was reportedly worth $400.
