VPD Crime Report – March 17, 2011

On March 16, 2011 at 1:15 pm VPD arrested Lance Burton age 23 of 3749 Gowall Road. Burton was arrested at his residence and  charged with Grand Larceny after a 42″ Phillips TV was taken from a room at the Candle Wood Suites located at 1296 South Frontage Road where Burton had been a guest. Burton being held at the Warren County Jail with No Bond and a hold for MDOC probation and parole.

On March 16, 2011 at 11:05 pm VPD arrested Passion Heard age 25 of 2501 Military Ave. Heard was arrested at River Walk Casino located at 1046 Warrenton Road. Heard was charged with False Pretense after passing a worthless check in the amount of $7,495.05. Heard is being held at the Warren County Jail without bond pending her initial appearance on March 18, 2011 in Municipal Court.

On March 16, 2011 at 11:47 pm VPD arrested Preston Wilson age 37 of 1900 MLK after police responded to the report of a domestic disturbance. Wilson was charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence after attempting to choke his 30 year old live in  girlfriend, who did not need medical treatment. Wilson is being held at the Warren County Jail on a $15,000.00 bond.

On March 17, 2011 at 2:45 am VPD responded to River Regiom in reference to an assault victim. The victim 23 year old Zacchaeus Tyler stated that he was waiting on a ride at Levee and Grove Street when two unknown black males approached him and assaulted him for no apparent reason. Tyler was transported to River Region where he was treated for lacerations to the head, face, neck and arms. No further description was available of the suspect.
