VPD incident report: burglaries and shots fired into a home


The Vicksburg Police Department reports the following incidents occurred between Friday, June 5, and Sunday, June 7.

Red Dot Self Storage, 3434 Wisconsin Ave., was the scene of a burglary reported Friday. At 7:19 a.m., officers responded to a victim who reported someone stole two Ol’ Man climbing stands, a Mathew solo cam hunting bow, deer cameras and hunting bags from a storage unit.

An auto burglary was reported Friday at 11:08 p.m. officers in the 2000 block of Royal Street. The victim stated someone broke into a 2000 Honda Accord stealing an LG Phoenix 4 cellphone, a Chromebook, a Polo wallet, $7 cash, a driver’s license, a credit card and a book bag.

Saturday, June 6, at 7:42 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of First East Street in reference to grand larceny. The victim reported someone stole a Laphan 7000W generator from the construction site.

A report of shots fired into a home Sunday, June 7, at 1:31 p.m. had officers responding to a residence in the 1300 block of First East Street. Four shell casings were recovered at the scene. This investigation is ongoing.
