VPD incident report for May 13: felony shoplifting, business burglary and shots fired

The Vicksburg Police Department reports the following incidents occurred on Wednesday, May 13.

Home Depot at 50 Halls Ferry Park Road was the site of felony shoplifting. When officers responded to the call at 3:03 p.m., the store loss prevention associate said that someone had stolen a Dewalt 20-volt 16-gauge finish nailer and a Dewalt framing nailer valued at $399 each.

A business in the 3200 block of Oak Street reported a business burglary, and officers responded to the location at 5:43 p.m., The complainant reported that someone had broken out the front window and used a fire extinguisher to spray the inside of the building. Two pairs of hair clippers valued at $300 were stolen.

Officers responded to Cairo Drive in reference to shots fired at 10:32 p.m. No signs of suspicious activity or evidence of shots fired were found.
