VPD incident report for May 26: auto burglary and theft, shots fired

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to the following incidents Tuesday, May 26:
At 5:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Warren Street because of an auto burglary. The victim reported someone broke into a 2006 Chevrolet Impala and stole $230 from the center console.
A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado truck and utility trailer were reported stolen around 7 a.m. in the 1600 block of Walnut Street. The victim told officers that the trailer contained a Kubota riding lawnmower, three weed-eaters and a blower.
Officers responded to a residence in the 3300 block of Drummond Street at 11:52 a.m. on a report that an unoccupied vehicle that had been shot into. The complainant reported someone shot into the rear passenger-side door of a 2002 Toyota Tundra. Police recovered shell casings at the intersection of Drummond and Forest streets.
