VPD incident report for May 27: burglary and shots fired

The Vicksburg Police Department reports that officers responded to the following incidents Wednesday, May 27.

At 12:34 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Mundy Street due to a residential burglary. The victim stated that someone stole a 32-inch Samsung flat screen television and food.

At 1:53 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of South Street because of shots fired into an occupied dwelling. The victim reported someone shot multiple rounds into a house. Officers recovered three shell casings at the scene.
