VPD investigates auto burglaries reported Thursday

Vicksburg police are investigating two auto burglary cases which occurred on Thursday.

Around 8:15 a.m., officers responded to a call on the 1500 block of Skyfarm Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who stated someone shattered the passenger side front window of her 2008 Malibu brick.

A book bag containing personal information, including credit cards, was reported stolen from the vehicle.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a call led officers to Ameristar Casino on Washington Street.

The victim reported to police that a gun, a Glock 17 handgun, was stolen from his Toyota Camry which he had left unlocked.
