VPD investigating Saturday night bar fight that left two injured

Vicksburg Police are investigating a fight that broke out in Jacques’ Bar in downtown Vicksburg Saturday night and left two women injured.

According to Chief Penny Jones, multiple individuals were involved in the altercation and two women sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  One woman was transported to UMMC for treatment of a major laceration over her left eye.  The other woman’s injury was in the center of her forehead, officers described the wound as a laceration or possible stab wound.

Police are utilizing security footage to help identify subjects involved in the incident as well as possible witnesses. This is an ongoing investigation.  The Vicksburg Daily News will bring you updates as information becomes available.
