VPD investigating single vehicle hit-and-run; power line blocking roadway

Vicksburg Police are currently investigating a single vehicle crash on Fisher Ferry Road near Sports Force Park. Fisher Ferry Road is blocked at the time of this writing due to a downed power line laying in the roadway.

The actual accident scene is just across the corporate limits and Deputy Daniel Thomas is en route to continue the investigation. A utility pole has been heavily damaged and power lines are involved.

The vehicle involved has reportedly left the scene of the crash. It’s reported to be a pickup truck, possibly a Ford, red in color. Please use caution in the area.
