Wednesday was a busy day for the Vicksburg Police Department. Several burglaries were reported which are currently being investigated.

At around 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, officers arrived at Carr Central Apartments, located at 1805 Cherry Street.

The victim reported to officers that the front, passenger0-side window of their 2019 Dodge Ram was shattered. It was also noted that a maroon briefcase, containing personal documents and items, was missing.

The briefcase was later recovered with all items in tact, however no arrests have been made in relation to the incident as of yet.

Just after 7 a.m., officers took to the streets and arrived at the 1700 block of Martin Luther King for a residential burglary call.

The owners of the home stated their residence was broken into after the house was left due to the power outage.

When the residents returned home, they noticed a Nikon camera, a jar containing around $2,000 in coins, several two-dollar bills, two rings, two iPads and a circuit machine was taken from the residence.

Shortly after, at around 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Fredrick Street.

The residents at the location advised officers that three televisions and $200 was missing from their residence.
