VPD officers arrested a man on drug charges Saturday

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department arrested a man Saturday on drug charges.

The officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly grocery store, 4306 Halls Ferry Road, where they made contact with Peter Winship, 50, of Vicksburg, who was in possession of 2.6 grams of methamphetamine.

Winship was arraigned Saturday, Sept. 5, in Vicksburg Municipal Court before Judge Alan Derivaux on one count of possession of methamphetamine. He bound him over to the Warren County grand jury on a $10,000 bond.
