The Vicksburg Police Department has released additional details about an incident that occurred in the downtown area early Sunday morning.
The incident began at Jacques’ Restaurant, 1306 Washington St. Shortly after 1 a.m., June 7, officers were dispatched to the venue because of a reported disturbance.
When they arrived, officers learned that a fight had just taken place inside the bar that led to shots being fired outside on Washington Street.
A concerned citizen provided video that showed a man taking a rifle from his vehicle and firing shots into the air.
Arrested at the scene were three Vicksburg residents:
Jacob Daniel Morgan, 30, is charged with discharging a weapon in the city limits, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.
Morgan is being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail pending his initial court appearance Monday.
