VPD provides update on BG Junior armed robbery

The Vicksburg Police Department has provided the following updates regarding Thursday evening’s armed robbery:

At 6:23 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, officers of the Vicksburg Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred at the BG Junior convenience store, 4110 Clay St.

Witnesses stated the lone suspect, a Black male, entered the store and displayed a handgun as he demanded money from the cash register. He took $60 and fled on foot, running behind the store in the direction of the Beechwood Park Apartments.

The only description the witnesses could provide was a Black male wearing a ball cap, a blue surgical mask and Crocs.
