VPD Records Division changes how reports are released
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Records Division of the Vicksburg Police Department is changing the way residents can obtain copies of police reports.
Until further notice, reports will be mailed, faxed or emailed, rather than being handed out in person. This is for the protection of our employees as well as members of the public.
To obtain a copy of a police report, notify the front desk clerk, who will record information including your name and the case number of the report, as well as your preferred method of receiving the report. The clerk will request a valid email address or fax number, or, for delivery by the U.S. Postal Service, the copy will be mailed to the address on the report.
If you don’t receive the copy within five days, call the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511 and select 3.
Also, to be fingerprinted for employment purposes or background checks, please call 601-636-2511 and select 3 to schedule an appointment
