VPD releases crime statistics for March – April 2023

During the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Monday, the board received crime statistics from the Vicksburg Police Department for March – April 2023.

The report shows that VPD logged 3,615 calls during this time and made 255 arrests.

According to the report, Vicksburg saw one murder and two forcible rape cases in April. Domestic violence cases also increased from 23 to 34 compared to the month prior.
