VPD reports 42 people arrested in Vicksburg last week

The Vicksburg Police Department has released the arrest for the last week. Forty-two different people are on the list.

A large number of arrests are related to capias warrants, which are issued by the court, usually for failure to appear. Five people are on the list for weekend jail time. The court will allow some people to serve their time on the weekend, allowing them to keep their jobs while fulfilling the court’s order.

One arrest was for not following leash laws with a dog, four were arrested for DUI or public drunkenness.
