VPD reports thieves struck multiple sites Saturday and Sunday
The Vicksburg Police Department reported the following incidents occurred Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20.
Police are continuing their investigation of a shooting that occurred Saturday, Sept. 19, at around 3:06 a.m. Officers responded to Merit Health River Region, 2100 U.S. Highway 61 North, in reference to a shooting that occurred in the area of Second North and Clay streets. The victim stated that someone shot him in his left side. The wound was not life threatening.
Jordan’s Boutique, 3505 Pemberton Square Blvd, was the scene of felony shoplifting Saturday. Officers responded at 12:39 p.m., and the victim reported two females grabbed several pairs of jeans and ran out of the store.
A business burglary occurred at Shoney’s Restaurant, 3316 Pemberton Square Blvd., Sunday, Sept. 20, at around 5:05 p.m. The complainant stated that someone forced their way through the front door of the business. They are not sure of what was taken.
Kings Drive was the site of an auto theft Sunday around 10:12 p.m. The owner stated someone stole her 2011 Lincoln MKZ.
A residential burglary also occurred Sunday on Kings Drive around 11:40 p.m. The resident stated that two Phillips 43-inch flat screen televisions valued at $268 each and a Hisense flat-screen television valued at $250 were taken.
