VPD reports two burglaries occurred Wednesday in the city

The Vicksburg Police Department reports that the following burglaries occurred Wednesday, Jan. 20:

The Quality Inn, 3975 South Frontage Road, was the site of an auto burglary called in around 1:13 p.m. The victim told responding officers that a black LG Phoenix cellphone with a charger, clothing and a brown wallet were missing from his 1999 Ford Ranger.

At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Sherman Avenue in reference to a residential burglary. The resident reported someone broke the kitchen window out, stealing a General Electric stainless steel stove and a Milwaukee electric drill.
