VPD responds Oct. 24 to aggravated assault, crash and auto theft

The Vicksburg Police Department responded to a call Oct. 24 at Merit Health River Region, 2100 U.S. Highway 61, regarding and aggravated assault that took place in the 2400 block of Halls Ferry Road.

The male victim was stabbed in his left shoulder before being transmitted to Merit Health River Region. A suspect has been found but their name has yet to be released.

Auto theft

Oct. 24 the Vicksburg Police Department received a phone call regarding an auto theft. The complainant stated his 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe is missing from the parking garage at 1405 Mulberry St.

Motor Vehicle Crash

The Vicksburg Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash Oct. 24 shortly after 9 p.m. The crash took place at the intersection of Clay St. and Old Highway 27. The driver of a motorcycle was pinned underneath another vehicle. He was transported to Merit Health River Region, 2100 U.S. Highway 61 for treatment.
