VPD responds to shots fired call on Monday

On Monday just before noon, officers responded to a shots fired call in the 1100 block of First North Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the resident reported to officers that someone shot into his apartment. A 2002 Mazda Protégé also suffered damage from being struck by gunfire.

Vicksburg police are investigating.
