VPD working to identify suspects in Walmart gun incident

Vicksburg Police are attempting to identify two suspects involved in an incident at Walmart on Apr. 6.
On Apr. 6, two suspects brandished weapons inside of Walmart, causing panic. One reader stated her grandchildren and daughter-in-law were present during the incident.
“… as soon as she (daughter-in-law) got there with my two grand babies, she was about to put them in the cart and Walmart employees and people were running out shouting ‘Get out! Get out! Guns! Guns!'”
An employee at Walmart stated the two were involved in “some kind of argument and both ran to get their guns out of the car.” However, by the time the police arrived, the two had left the scene.
Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones told the Vicksburg Daily News she has obtained a copy of the security tape from Walmart, but the quality is making identification a difficult task.
Jones did state that the incident was not gang related. No one was injured and no shots were reported to have been fired.
If anyone has any information that can help identify the suspects involved, please call the Vicksburg Police Department at (601) 636-2511.
