Ward and Lockridge batted the Missy Gators to victory Tuesday

Vicksburg High School softball players Jamie Ward and Sha’Niya Lockridge dominated at the plate for the Missy Gators on Tuesday.

In game one, Ward went 2 for 3 while driving in one run score to give the Gators a 6-2 win. She also racked up three RBIs for the Missy Gators as they advanced to game three.

In game two, Lockridge went 3 for 4 with one run score in the 9-6 win. She also had one RBI which contributed to VHS being able to advance to the second round of the playoffs.

The Missy Gators brought in two crucial wins Tuesday night under bead coach Brian Ellis and were able to keep their season going. Now, they wait to see who their opponents will be in the second round.
