Warnock led the Flashes in interceptions this season

St. Aloysius football player Wes Warnock finished his final season with the Flashes on a high note.

The cornerback led the Flashes in interceptions as they finished with a 4-7 record under head coach Stacey Sizemore. He managed to grab four interceptions by the end of the year along with numerous big tackles.

One of Warnock’s best performances was against Copiah Academy where he had a career high 12 tackles. He also had three catches in that game and finished with 20 yards.

Warnock will be remembered at St. Al for being a shutdown defensive back who didn’t allow wide receivers to catch long passes.

Warnock may have completed his high school football career, but the versatile athlete is not through with sports. He has committed to playing baseball at Hinds Community College next year.
