Warren Central football team returning four offensive lineman
The Warren Central High School Vikings football team is returning four out of five starting offensive lineman from last season to lead its offense.
Returning in the front lines for the Vikings this season are Colt Lee, Dontae Bell, Charles Holmes and Kevin Miller. All four lineman will be juniors this season and were responsible for protecting quarterback Parker Kivett on the field last season .
With four starters returning to the offensive line, it gives the Viking coaches confidence that they will have plenty of protection up front this season.
“I feel that they have grown to become not only better players, but better leaders as well,” said Ced Jackson, assistant offensive lineman coach. “They understand what we mean when we say the game is either won or lost in the trenches. I have full confidence in them.”
The Vikings should also have a great running game this season with the return of Kentrick Thompson who rushed for 573 yards last season. He will now be behind the four experienced offensive linemen who are eager to hit the football field.
WC mainly ran the ball last season, but with lineman like Holmes, Miller, Lee and Bell, it wouldn’t surprise fans if they began throwing the ball more than usual due to their great offensive protection.
