The Warren Central freshman girl’s track team started the season on a high, taking first place in two of three events at their first meet.

The young freshman team was coached by Kimberley Walker, who was very satisfied with her team’s performance.

“On Wednesday, our Pre-Meet Run-through Practice went very well and quickly shifted the girls mindset going into the meet on Thursday,” Walker said. “A team mixture of first time runners and veterans had a great showing  last night at Madison Central. I am very pleased with their performance and it was a great starting point.”

The freshman team will travel to Pearl next week on Tuesday in hopes of winning another first-place medal.
