Warren Central in a rematch with Clinton in Friday’s playoff game
The Warren Central Vikings will travel to play Clinton High School Friday, Nov. 20, in the second round of the class 6A playoffs.
Clinton and Warren County played each other in the regular season, resulting in a 31-16 victory for the Arrows. That game was the first loss for the Vikings this season, and the team is preparing for the rematch.
The Vikings advanced to the second round after Tupelo High School canceled due to COVID-19.
Last night, Clinton defeated Horn Lake 35-7 to advance to the next round and set up the rematch with the Vikings.
The Vikings defense has been tough all season, and they rarely let their opponents get into the end zone. They will be led by head coach Josh Morgan who has taken the Vikings to nine consecutive playoff appearances.
